A bible lesson

On the way home from Sunday school on Sunday (duh!) Emma and I were chatting about the lessons she learned.

Emma: "We got to eat Animal Crackers today and they were yummy!"

Me: "Good! What did you learn?"

Emma: "Well, we learned a new prayer Mama! Want to hear it?

Me: "Of course! What is it"

Emma: "God, help my mouth to pray you. Help my hands to serve you and help my heart to love you. Amen"

Me: "Emma! That is wonderful!" and then, me prompting more as I know they learned about Noah's Ark. "Emma - did you learn a story about an arc?"

Emma: "Yeah! We did. There was a big boat."

Me: "AND?? Was it raining a lot?"

Emma: "Oh yeah! It rained for like two thousand hundred YEARS! Mama, that's a lot."

Me: "Yes, that is a lot. And... were there animals on the boat?"

Emma: "Yup. They had alligators and snakes and EVEN spiders!"

Me: "Wow- Spiders too?? And did a guy named Noah make the boat?"

Emma: "No, just one of God's friends did it."

So - there you have it. Your bible lesson for the week.
