Tim and I both wanted to sign up the kids for karate at some point in their young life and the time has come for Emma. She has actually been in karate since September and really enjoys it so far. The class is only a half hour long and the beginning of the classes are spent sitting down and talking about respect for ourselves, family, and others. That is the part that I really like.
She struggles going at times (which she seems to do with may things at times), but once she is there, her smile says it all. She enjoys the kicking and the punches and all the things that go with karate. It is fun for me to watch her "spar" with the other kids in her class. Since September, she has gained 2 stripes on her belt for (1) listening & being respectful and (2) for her ability to do the "positions."
