A Friday Night Treat

Since Evan transitioned to his preschool last November, we have still kept in touch with his beloved old daycare provider.  We still send the kids to her periodically for non-school days for Emma and Evan will tag along to play with his best friend Will too.  We decided to meet up with Todd, Theresa, and their daughter Breezy (or Brianna) at one of the kids favorite places, Pinz.  Pinz is a Chuckey Cheese kind of place with laser tag, bowling alley, and full menu.  We have met there before and the kids had a great time running around, spending money, and getting reacquainted with their friends.

The big surprise for Evan when we got there was that Theresa invited Will to come as well! So, both Emma and Evan got to share the night with their best friends while the adults chatted and laughed as well.

The beginning of the night was spent in the arcade area.  Pinz has the traditional arcade games such as skeet ball, basketball hoops, and the bop-them-on-the head games, but they also have many other new things. (many that I did not understand!)  for the kids it is sensory overload with the lights, sounds, and people milling around. They had such a great time running from game to game.  Emma and Breezy headed off on their own in the little arcade area (because they are so big, duh Mom!) while I kept an eye on the little two guys.  After dropping too much money there, we decided  to head to the bowling alley to reign them in a bit.

The bowling was a big hit!  We set the kids up on one lane while the adults ordered food and supervised.  They had the little ramps for the kids to put their bowling ball on and the bumpers.  It kept them busy for about an hour while they munched on pizza and had a good time.

 After bowling and pizza, we played one game of laser tag before deciding that it was time to head home as it was way past the kids bed time.

The little ones had such a fun time playing with the friends and the parents had fun as well.  Todd, Theresa, and Breezy got to be like family when the kids were there for daycare and I am so glad that we are able to keep up the friendship as they mean a lot to all  of us.  Theresa was a second Mom to the kids and I know that Emma and Evan miss her a lot.
