Easter!

Easter! So fun!  The kids were so excited - of course, who wouldn't be at the ages of 6 and 4 and the thoughts of a little tiny bunny busting into your house to leave eggs and Easter baskets filled with presents twice his/her bunny weight!  We had a rule that the kiddo's couldn't come into our room until 7:00am Sunday morning, but that rule went out the window at 6:30am when the burst in, excited, and wanted to head down to look at what the puffball bunny left.

We obliged after a few minutes of "PLEASE!  CAN WE PLEASE GO DOWNSTAIRS?!"  as Tim and I had a lot of cooking to get ready for Easter Brunch.

They rushed down and then we heard the "Here is one!! Found another one?  Where is my basket?"  then laughs, giggles, and the pitter patter of feet.

Happy kids.

My perfectly yummy Pioneer Woman Sweetrolls!  I could have eaten that whole pan.
The kids found both baskets hidden downstairs.  Emma's basket contained a little pair of chick earrings, a little flashlight, some candy, and then gel pens, journal, and post it notes.  Evan's basket had some erasable crayon packs, Spiderman lego packs, and some sticker/picture find books.  Both kids loved the day, the search for the baskets and the eggs, and having the family over to celebrate.

For Brunch, we had the Kellogg's over, Eric, Gaeb, and significant others, and my parents.  We dined on baked french toast, fruit salad, two different kinds of quiche, ham, turkey, Mom's famous stuffing, cheesy hash browns,  cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, and Boston Cream Pie Cake.

That's it!  A great Easter!  Saturday, we did attend an egg hunt at our church.  They had 4 stations that discussed Palm Sunday, Good Friday, The Resurrection, and the Last Supper with different crafts and activities at each. Then - the Easter Egg hunt in the school room area - not outside, of course, because it was raining, cold, with snow on the ground.

My kiddo's leaving the Easter Egg Hunt.
